3 Best Marketing Strategies to Focus on for Your Business in 2020

With the new year upon us, that either means new trends in our digital marketing strategies or analyzing our current strategies and revamping them to be better. B2B Marketing is vastly growing especially with the new endeavors in technology. Email Marketing is beginning to peak and more personalized branding opportunities are on the rise. Here are some things to focus on for your 2020 B2B Marketing Strategy and your branding:

  1. B2B Social Media Strategy

It is projected that almost 3 billion people are expected to be on social media in 2020, according to a study done by Statista

This means that that’s 6 billion eyes that you could be pitching and marketing your business to this year! Social media has grown into a place to gain clientele and free advertising unless your running paid advertisements.

B2B Companies quickly overlook social media, but social media should be your best friend!

So what does this mean?

This means that Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter should be included in your 2020 strategy if it wasn’t already included.

With your business, you must take a strategic approach and execute your marketing campaigns in order to be successful.

  1. Content Marketing

Writing about your business to your audience is important! Your best content pieces should be written for your audience in whatever industry you are in. For example, if you have an IT Tech Business, you want to be sure your writing and IT expertise is immersed in your content!

Awesome content should address your audience’s needs and concerns.

Visual Elements are a must! You don’t want your content to be boring!

Too many words without pictures are not interesting. Here are some things to include in your content writing:

  • Graphics and Infographics: Including these into your content pieces can convey over key points. Using graphics is always more pleasing to the eye for readers, than a million words.
  • Pictures and Videos: These are among the most common visual art forms to include in your writing. With YouTube growing, this provides a more seamless opportunity to create videos regarding your products. These videos can be included in your content marketing plan.

Videos are also the biggest way to grab your audience’s attention. Remember, customers who can view product videos are more likely to become consumers and buy, buy, buy!

  1. Email Marketing

We certainly cannot forget Email Marketing!

First things first…absolutely NO SPAMMING! Often we think of email marketing as spamming our audience with all the super important things going on with our business.

However, think of it as just wanting to personally reach your prospective and potential clients/customers with exclusive offers.

An email has grown into the #1 form of communication for consumers. Think about it, every time you shop on your favorite online site, the first thing that pops up is a box that you can type your email into. This allows you to receive special discounts and offers.

Maintaining an email list is vital to the success of your business. This is how you remain in contact with your consumers and create personalized engagement.

Here are my tips for formulating an email:

  • Be sure to use the physical name of the person you are addressing the email to. This can easily be done with a mail merge.

This will simulate the person on the other end of your email to feel as though you know them personally. By addressing the person’s name directly, your business email stands out the crowd of emails.

  • Keep your emails straight to the point and included images and a great subject line.

With a catchy subject line, it will grab the reader’s attention. By including images in your email keeps the reader engaged in what you are saying.

These are not all the types of marketing to keep at the forefront of your mind, but they are keys ones to keep in mind when thinking about your marketing strategies for 2020.
